BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse will open Nov. 5 at Winrock Town Center in Uptown, according to signage at the site and staffers working at the restaurant.

The first BJ’s in New Mexico will also be the first new restaurant to open at Winrock since Goodman Realty Group started redevelopment efforts there five years ago.

The restaurant will accommodate 250 patrons in a large, open floor plan that features wall panels depicting hops being picked. The restaurant has two large stainless steel brew tanks, but will not brew it’s own beer on site. BJ’s is known for its proprietary beer recipes, its varied casual menus and lively bar atmosphere. The Winrock location will be among the chain’s large-format restaurants with a full menu of more than 100 items. The Huntington Beach, Calif.-based firm offers gluten-free items and an allergen sensitive food menu as well.

The interior features rich finishes, including granite table tops and mutli-colored wooden floors that give the restaurant an upscale look despite its casual and moderately priced menu. Menu items include "fanburgers," deep dish pizzas, pastas, angus steaks and specialty entrees. A New York strip steak, at $19.95, is the most expensive menu item.

BJ’s has 127 locations in 14 states and is publicly traded (NASDAQ: BJRI). It reported revenues of $175 million in the third quarter, a 2.3 percent comparable store sales gain. Net income of $6.8 million was reported in the quarter, an 8 percent gain.
