If unique, artistic and quirky homes are something you appreciate, then an annual Albuquerque residential real estate-focused event might be appealing.

The eighth-annual “Albuquirky House Tour” takes place May 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The self-guided tour is presented by the OFFCenter Community Arts Project.

Organizers said three homes and sculpture gardens will be featured on the tour. The properties include a violin maker’s home with one-story high dragons; an artist-hairdresser’s home with murals and mosaics; and an artist-collector’s home with colored walls and artwork.

The tour is preceded by the “Little Houses Silent Auction” on May 3 from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. at Sumner & Dene Creations in Art at 517 Central Ave. NW in Albuquerque.

OFFCenter, the beneficiary of the event, is a nonprofit art space located at 808 Park Ave. SW. The organization offers the public an open studio space, materials and workshops in the visual, literary and musical arts at no charge.
